JUICE 101

  • Drink loads of water. This is extremely important! If you don’t drink at least 2.5-3 litres a day you could damage your kidneys. It’s is also super important, because your body isn’t used to receiving all these new Vitamins and Minerals and so you could feel nauseous the whole time. Water is also a vitally important key ingredient in flushing all the toxins out of your body. So make sure to benefit and do this successfully by drink a lot of water.
  • The average healthy juice fast/ juice diet lasts about 3-4 days. If you withhold your body from carbohydrates and protein for any longer, your body will think it is going into survival mode. This is not healthy and it will not benefit you any longer. So make sure you choose a rather shorter than longer fast.
  • Follow a pretty healthy diet the week before you start with the juices. Slowly alter meat, sugar, carbohydrates Β and dairy products for fruits and vegetables. It will make it easier for you once you start with drinking only juice. You might experience some headaches, but that’s normal when you are detoxing your body.
  • Lastly prepare yourself mentally and emotionally. You will get through it and at the end you will be the one who benefited from your ‘journey of juice’ ! So have grace on yourself and let the people in your life know, so that they can support you in this.
